Having a routine habit of gratitude for the things that you have been blessed with will give you a fresh perspective on your daily life and worries. But what about who you are now and who you want to be? If you are struggling with something, then your self talk should be carefully addressed. You have to be very aware of what you tell yourself about yourself and your situation.
There is nothing to stop you from adopting a mentality of someone you admire or the kind of person you aspire to be. But as you go through your day, you might easily regress into negative self talk. And a habit of positive self talk is still focused on the ego a little too much maybe. But what about repeating phrases of great wisdom and repeating them to yourself throughout the day. This will surely help anchor you to the ideal self you aspire to be. We often see people of various faiths walk around with beads as they go through their day. Why not adopt a habit of memorizing various wisdoms passed on through generations from people wiser than you. Repeat them in your head again and again until your whole being reverberates down to your very core with that belief.
