Measure for improvement

To improve, it is paramount that we measure. There is no way to progress without tracking work done. There is no way you can have a clear road map to success. I recently heard these two incredible quotes from “The Canadian Investor” podcast that I think should be vital advice for anybody who faces the struggles of goal setting and achieving. “what doesn’t get written down doesn’t get done” and “what doesn’t get tracked cannot make progress”. Living day to day is one thing but continuous improvement is a different beast all together.

What if we carried a diary and tracked all of our negative thoughts throughout the day? Thoughts directed at ourselves, others around us and situations that we assume are beyond our control. Erasing negative thinking consciously should reasonably bring positive energy to make significant progress in any endeavor. Wouldn’t that be something? To one day have this negative diary and nothing to write…
